"melissa"
fall 2002. 6 x 10, drypoint etching.

part of an obsession with insects, combined with the omnipresent female form. one of three insect women, each edition running about 6 prints. etching is a long and incredibly labor intensive process that hurts your hands as the stylus digs into them, and you're screwed if you slip and make a mistake. the resulting tiny, detailed lines are beautiful.

they're NOT faeries, dammit.
